Fall Decorating Ideas Using Pink & Gold

Happy Fall Y’ALL! Who says you have to do orange for fall decorating? To quote the beautiful Leigh Anne Tuohy from The Blind Side, “Orange is not in my color wheel.”

At least with home decor.

No disrespect to my Tennessee Vols.

Decorating the Front Porch for Fall

For the front porch, I mixed some faux pink pumpkins I found on sale at Joann’s and some adorable white baby pumpkins. I gathered them in this pretty water hyacinth basket I snagged at Walmart for less than $20! Then, I nestled the cuties in Spanish moss. What a sweet sight to welcome your family and guests.

The pink coordinates beautifully with all the other pink flowers on our front porch. In Tennessee, we’re still having 90-degree days in September. We probably have 6-8 weeks before the first frost.

There is no way I’m getting rid of my pretty porch florals before then. It’s just another way I pretend winter is not around the corner. Ha!

How to Decorate the Fireplace Mantel for Fall

This year, I decorated my mantel with light-up glass large pumpkins from Target, along with real white baby pumpkins, pink cottage roses and eucalyptus from Whole Foods.

Light-Up Glass Pumpkin from Target

The key is balancing out your decor. I used two large glass pumpkins on the ends, and a medium-sized glass pumpkin in the middle. Mix in ivory pillar candles, either real or flameless, and small votives in this votive candle dish from Target.

Faux Eucalyptus from Target

Soften the entire look with eucalyptus. I would use the real stuff for parties, but you could totally do faux roses & eucalyptus from Hobby Lobby so it lasts all season. Another great option is this faux eucalyptus from Target.

It’s simple easy fall decorating that anyone can pull off. So if you like a touch of elegance, and scarecrows and hay bales are not your thing, try a little pink, gold and white this fall!

For year-round elegance, I’m so in love with my Wayfair gold mirror. The right mirror adds light, space and sophistication to a room. Wayfair has simply THE best mirrors! You can skip hunting from store to store, and the free shipping at $49 straight to your front door makes them irresistible.

Cozy Fall Coffee Table Decor

Coffee table decor can be as easy as using the Magic Rule of Three. I kept my favorite pink roses in my sentimental crystal vase, along with baby’s breath in my farmhouse tin container. I like to mix the elegant with the casual. This beautiful distressed wood tray is from Pier 1. It works perfectly to corral coffee table decor. I found this coffee table beauty off Facebook Marketplace a couple years ago. I love mixing the old with the new, the vintage with the modern.

The only thing I had to swap out was my little birdie decor piece for a glitzy gold beaded pumpkin from Pier 1 to make it seasonal. (My son, Baron, thinks it looks like a gourd. Haha. Maybe it is.)

Glamorous Fall Dining Room Decor

For our formal dining table centerpieces, I love the way theses pink, white and gold ceramic pumpkins mix with shiny gold acorns on this marble and gold cake stand. I found all of these at Pier 1.

Then, I used The Magic Rule of Three on each end by adding another acorn with this cute ceramic squirrel from Hobby Lobby and gold candlestick holder from Target.

Fall decorating ideas can change over the years. I give you permission to add in a little modern to your traditional decor. Decorating should be personal and what you love, not what everyone else is doing. You will be more inspired to decorate seasonally, even if it’s one small vignette.

For our buffet, I mixed a variety of glass and ceramic pumpkins on our cake stands. We leave these beauties up year-round, and they make perfect pedestals for seasonal decor. I even added in some sparkly pink acorns for a little bling.

Pink & Gold Pumpkin from Target

Who said fall couldn’t be pink and gold?

Who said fall couldn’t be glamorous too?

I decided to keep my pink and gold plates until Christmas. For our casual dining table, I simply added these cute-as-a-pumpkin ceramics from Hobby Lobby’s Robert Stanley Collection to each place setting. Each one has different text, including “Thankful,” “Blessed,” and “Grateful.” The perfect sentiments for this season and every day of the year.

These little cuties were less than $4/piece with the 40% discount. Can you believe it? Add in my favorite flower pitcher and faux ranunculus, and you have a beautiful table year-round. Decorating doesn’t have to be expensive to be lovely.

My Charge to You

There you have it! Easy, elegant fall decor. This Autumn Votive Candle Set from Williams Sonoma keeps me focused on maintaining a grateful heart.

My friends, you don’t have to love pink to use these tips. Pick your favorite color and incorporate it into your fall decorating. If you can’t find your favorite color pumpkin, remember there is always spray paint!

Starting now, go make your home cozy and comfortable for your family. Give your children positive memories of home. Put on a pot of chili. Light the cinnamon candles. Start up the fireplace. Pull out the throws and snuggle. Watch a great fall movie, like Tom Hanks’ “You’ve Got Mail” or your favorite football team.

Sit down. Take a deep breath. Exhale.

Cherish those you love.

Look around your home, and smile. Even if it’s not everything you dream of today, there is still much to be grateful. Decorating your home is a process, and a joy. Enjoy the journey.

Think about how far you’ve come. Stick with me, I’ll keep helping you decorate a more lovely home. It’s so worth it.

Much love & joy,
